Winslow Crocker House History buffs or antique lovers visiting Cape Cod can also visit the Winslow Crocker House, an 18th century home filled with notable pieces of antique furniture, rugs, pewter and ceramics. This local museum is located within a former school building, that taught Harwich students from elementary to high school from 1844 to 1963. Kelley Chapel was built in 1873 as a non-sectarian chapel and donated to the Historical Society of Yarmouth in 1960. It is located off Route 6A approximately 100 yards down a nature trail. Quaker Meeting House Yarmouth Much of South Yarmouth's early development is attributed to its European settlers, many of them Quakers and the original Quaker Meeting House, built in 1809, can still be seen today. With the exception of electricity for heat and light and soft cushions added to the hard benches, the building and its services remain much as they have been for its 200 year history. Hoxie House This may be the oldest house on Cape Cod, circa 1675. It was built for Reverend John Smith, his wife and their 13 children. Since the town purchased the structure in 1950, it has been completely restored and refurnished with period pieces. This historic home is open to visitors from June to mid-October. Erected in 1914, this is the only Marconi-built wireless station remaining. Once the station shifted focus to ships, it was the most active marine coastal radio station in the country from 1921 until 1993.
