The Eastham Windmill was originally built in Plymouth around 1680, making it Cape Cod's oldest windmill. It was moved to Eastham in 1793 and to its current location near the town hall in 1808. In 1999 this historic windmill was included on the National Register of Historic Places. Every year in September, the Eastham Windmill Weekend festival is celebrated on the windmill grounds.
