This restaurant is located within a 200 year old barn building, decorated in the rustic New England style. A brick fireplace enhances the cozy dining room and the garden room is adorned by flowered mural walls. Dinners for Easter Sunday, Christmas, New Years and Thanksgiving have become a local tradition at the Red Pheasant. The dinner menu is rich with dishes like sole meuniere and roast boneless Long Island duckling, while the bistro menu offers lighter fare such as grilled chopped Kobe sirloin and a large cocktail selection.

A beautiful array of fresh seafood, meat and vegetables, skillfully crafted to represent the traditional New England style. Large portions and reasonable prices are Chapin's specialty. Lobster and crab stuffed mushrooms, lobster pot pie and a choice cut filet mignon are some of Chef Kevin Violet's seasonal offerings. A raw bar is available during the summer.
